Who we are
New Frontier Institute
The New Frontier Peace and Development Institute (Referred to New Frontier Institute) is an independent, nonpartisan, on-the-ground and one-stop-shop solution for policy research and analysis. The institute is a think tank based in Kenya with a focus on the Northern region of Kenya and carry out independent and rigorous analysis of critical regional and county-specific challenges and opportunities. The institute’s operations are coordinated from Nairobi Kenya with Regional Field offices across the frontier counties. Our mission is to provide commentary on regional matters and offer solutions to the regional challenges.

Mission
New Frontier Institute seeks to use evidence-based approach to propagate the ideals of human security for the benefit of communities living in Kenya’s Northern Frontier region and thereby help them to solve today’s most pressing political, social, and economic challenges by providing independent, in-depth and insightful research and data for policy discourse and decisions that allow communities in the region to prosper in a stable and peaceful environment.

As an independent, nonpartisan institution we seek to promote evidence-based policymaking and dialogue. Throughout its work the Institute seeks to educate those who make and influence policy, as well as the public at large, through research and data. We promoted strategic governance and management practices that are driven by facts and evidence to the overall benefit of having communities that live in a stable, peaceful and prosperous Northern Frontier Region and Kenya at large.
As an independent, non-partisan institution, we promote evidence-based policymaking and dialogue. Throughout our work we will endeavor to establish and maintain the highest ethical standards in our work as exemplified by our research, analysis, reporting as well as in our day-to-day operations.
